Do you know the production process of permanent magnet ferrite?

Time:2023-08-29 Views:1

The application of permanent magnet ferrite is very common in daily life, and it is used internally in many motor equipment or electronic products because of its strong magnetism. It is currently a widely used product. Today, I will introduce the production process of permanent magnet ferrite to you.

1. Weighing and Mixing

Ferrite raw materials include main raw materials, additives, and fluxes Fe2O3, BaCO3, SrCO3, and CaCO3, which are the main raw materials for ferrite. The weighing process needs to strictly follow the formula, otherwise ideal magnetic properties cannot be obtained.

2. Granulation

In order to ensure the smooth progress of the solid-state reaction process, the mixture must be granulated before calcination. During the granulation process, the solution will be sprayed into the mixture. The particle size of granular materials has an impact on aging time.

3. Pre sintering

The purpose of pre sintering is to fully ensure the solid-state reaction of the raw materials. After pre firing, most of the raw materials will be transformed into ferrite phase. The pre sintering process will also improve deformation, shrinkage, and density.

4. Ball milling

In this step, the pre sintered material is crushed into fine powder, and the crushing process will be completed by a ball mill equipment. The grinding medium is steel balls and water.

5. Forming

On the basis of traditional classification methods, ferrite magnets are divided into two categories: isotropic and anisotropic. The formation methods of ferrite are also divided into dry method and wet method. The molding process has high technical strength.

6. Sintering

Like other types of sintered magnets, the sintering step is also very important for ferrite magnets. The sintering process first affects the microstructure of ferrite, and then affects its magnetic properties. Improper sintering parameters can cause cracks, bubbles, and deformation of the magnet.

7. Mechanical processing

The processing methods of ferrite magnets include grinding, polishing, cutting, and punching. It is worth mentioning that as ferrite is an insulating material, magnet manufacturers will use grinding wheels in the cutting step.
