Injection molded ferrite
Injection molded ferrite is a type of bonded magnet produced by injection molding technology after mixing ferrite magnetic powder with thermoplastic binders and additives such as nylon 12 (PA12), nylon 6 (PA6), or polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) to form particles. It can be injection molded together with a shaft, and the maximum working temperature can reach 150 ℃, requiring a mold for production.
After a brief introduction, let's take a look at some of their differences.
1、 Differences in shape
Injection molded ferrite can be used to create complex shapes, while sintered ferrite cannot. It can only be used for simple corner cutting, slotting, and punching processes.
2、 Difference in dimensional accuracy
The dimensional accuracy of injection molded ferrite is higher, with a typical tolerance of± 0.08, while the tolerance for sintered ferrite is often plus or minus 0.1.
3、 Differences in drop and wear resistance
Injection molded ferrite has superior impact resistance and wear resistance due to its nylon composition, making it less fragile when dropped to the ground.
4、 Differences in magnetic force
The magnetic properties of sintered ferrite are higher than those of injection molded ferrite.
5、 Differences in temperature resistance
As mentioned earlier, both have better temperature resistance compared to sintered ferrite.
