Magnet orientation and forming sequence

Some netizens want to know the orientation and forming order of magnets. Today, let's introduce them to everyone.

The magnetic powder of the magnet has a low density in the green body after orientation, molding, and isostatic pressing, which is a negative factor in production. The green body also contains many pores, which simply adsorb a large amount of gas and water, bringing trouble and difficulty to the next process. Due to the low density of the green billet, high shortening rate during sintering, simple deformation, and oversized scale, it is necessary to conduct sintering, and the process requires high experience in sintering operations.

During the sequential process of magnet orientation and molding, the green billet needs to go through two processes: sintering and aging when placed in the sintering furnace.

1. Sintering; During a period of insulation in the high temperature range, the important improvement in sintering density is achieved. The relative density has increased from 0.6 to 0.7 of the raw material to over 0.95. The internal components of each grain are further homogenized, the gaps between particles are reduced, and the adsorbed water vapor is discharged.

2. Aging: The sintered billet has a higher density and Br, but the coercivity and magnetic energy product are still not high. This is because the neodymium rich phase is not properly dispersed. At aging temperature, the neodymium rich phase thin layer surrounds the main phase particles and isolates them from each other, forming an outstanding arrangement structure conducive to high coercivity. After aging, only a small amount of Br was added to the billet, while the coercivity increased exponentially.

The orientation and molding sequence of the magnet require the following analysis and testing of the sintered blank product to ensure that the function of the magnet is qualified:
