The Hall speed sensor magnet is mainly used in locomotive control systems to provide necessary guarantees for vehicle driving safety. Its working principle is that when the sensor's rotating mechanism rotates under external driving, it will drive the permanent magnet to rotate. The magnetic field passing through the Hall element will undergo periodic changes, causing changes in the output voltage of the Hall element. Through subsequent circuit processing, a stable pulse voltage signal is formed, As the output signal of the vehicle speed sensor.

Usually, automotive speed sensors use injection molded magnets, such as injection molded neodymium iron boron multipole rings, injection molded ferrite multipole magnetic rings, and sintered ferrite radial multipoles, usually 4 or 8 pairs of poles (8 poles and 16 poles).
